The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), on December 12, 2025, announced a revision in the service charges for issuing Aadhaar PVC Cards, citing an increase in operational and logistics costs associated with the production and secure delivery of the cards.
UIDAI has been offering Aadhaar number holders the facility to order Aadhaar PVC Cards through the myAadhaar portal and the mAadhaar mobile application since 2020, at a nominal charge of ₹50 per card inclusive of taxes and delivery. Over time, the Authority observed a rise in costs relating to materials, printing, secure handling, and distribution, necessitating a review of the existing fee structure to maintain service quality.
Accordingly, the service charge for Aadhaar PVC Cards has been revised from ₹50 to ₹75 per card (inclusive of taxes). The revised rate will be applicable for all orders placed on or after January 1, 2026, through the designated UIDAI platforms, with the approval of the competent authority.
